Prince of Persia is a 1990 platform game by Broderbund. It was particularly noted at the time for the life-like movements of the main character, achieved by rotoscoping video.

The player controls the Prince of Persia who can walk, run, duck, jump, hang on and fight with swords. The goal is to complete all levels to release the princess in the allotted time, that is to say an hour. Each level consists of a section of a tower which has increasingly larger and more strewn with obstacles (drops, slabs with spikes underneath).
